Water ski and jetski in Doubtless Bay

If you are a keen waterskier then at high tide you can always go water skiing or jet skiing at Taipa or Coopers Beach in Doubtless Bay.

At Taipa you go over the Taipa Bridge and turn up Oruru Road. There is a simple ramp about 150m from the turnoff. Here those waiting their turn have a great viewing possy on the grassy bank and the skiiers antics are in full view. Parts of this area are quite shallow so the driver needs to check it out first. You can even go up the River some way.

A ski lane is also available at Coopers Beach, 4 kms away. You can launch at Coopers Beach ( off Kupe Road) or you can launch at Mangonui Ramp (just around the corner) and then travel by boat to the ski lane. (marked by buoys)
