Having grown up in the Far North, with the magic summer vacations in Doubtless Bay, Archie and Rosie wanted to have every kiwi experience a happy holiday right on the beach. A kiwi beach bach with modern amenities.

This year they purchased the neighbouring Driftwood and are busy creating an affordable family and couples experience, with a shared deck and 7 family or studio apartments

The eleven apartments and suites are all a few ‘jandalled’ steps away from sand and sea, All are self-contained and self-catering, funkily furnished and you will find yourself cancelling that restaurant dinner for homestyle burgers and kumara chips from the Cable Bay Store, eaten at your outdoor table. There are e- bikes,  kayaks, and dinghies to get out on the water, or just take a dip and laze on the sand right on the beach at picturesque Cable Bay, Golden Sand has a 20 year history of providing superb accommodation for families, couples and second honeymooners.

Every one of the eleven rooms have sea views.

You can be as active or relaxed as you like. There are kayaks and dinghies for your use free of charge,

Or just relax on the deck with your favourite tipple, and drift off to sleep with the soothing sound of the waves.
